Emily Wade
Dog Handler
In 2023, Emily welcomed her first search and rescue dog, Lemon, an American Labrador Retriever. With over a decade of experience training and working with dogs—including 13 years raising and competing with sled dogs and seven years as a professional dog groomer—Emily was drawn to work with search dogs to combine her love of dogs and appreciation for wild places. Raised in an outfitting camp in Wyoming’s Wind River Mountains and Red Desert, she has lived and worked in remote landscapes from Alaska to Michigan before settling back in Jackson full time. In addition to volunteering with Wyoming K9 Search & Rescue, Emily helps run her husband’s family guest ranch and is a full time college student.
